September 19, 2018
Cedar City, UT

The Questival is a twenty-four hour race/scavenger hunt where teams are formed and compete against each other for prizes and fun. The event takes place all over the United States of America at different times of the year. This year the team Not Fast Just Furious was formed consisting of Hailey Anderson, Dakota Boren, Roy Esparza, and Elizabeth O'bray. They all had the opportunity to compete against other teams in the Las Vegas, Nevada Questival held in March. Not only did this team get to experience new adventures, but they were also accomplishing a class for college at the same time!

The scavenger hunt gave these individuals and all of the other participants the opportunity to explore Las, Vegas and its surrounding areas like Lake Mead and ghost towns. They were able to meet and become friends with other teams and locals. While becoming close with each other and figuring out how to be an effective team member to make an effective team. Many skills such as teamwork and communication were gained and improved.

The class that was mentioned above is offered at Southern Utah University and is called EDGE. The class is required for students to graduate, it offers them the chance to have experiential learning, which is exactly what the Questival provided for the Not Fast Just Furious team. The team spent days researching and preparing for the twenty-four hour race, hoping to win some prizes. Through the race Not Fast Just Furious accomplished majority of what they set out to do, but ran into some technical difficulties like a flat tire and App malfunctions. Although, they didn't win any of the big prizes this team did take home a fanny pack and headlamp and twenty-four hours of memories.
